420 is, of course, a huge deal in Denver, one of the only cities in the United States where recreational cannabis can be celebrated legally. Whether you want to do the traditional stoner thing and go to an outdoor show or park rally, or keep it more low-key by grabbing some ganja and going to an underground show, we’ve got you covered when it comes to entertainment.
World Cannabis Week
Look no further than World Cannabis Week, an event presented by My 420 Tours. This event will take place from the April 19 to 23, and offers the chance for those who buy tickets to attend various events, shuttle around on a shuttles bus that allows consumption, stay in cannabis-friendly hotels and go to 4/20 concerts. This is the perfect immersive experience for those looking to “do 4/20” in Denver this year.
Keep in mind that in addition to these and other cannabis events, many dispensaries and businesses will probably be holding special sales, so 4/20 is a good time to enjoy the cannabis scene in general in the Mile High city.
As part of World Cannabis Week and hosted by My 420 Tours, the Bazaar is Located at Cluster Studios this and is a free Cannabis Industry 420 Celebration which will be “one not to miss.” A perfect stop along the free 420 Shuttle Route, the 420 Bazaar acts as a hub for cannabis fun! Indoor and outdoor activities, 420 vendors, food trucks, art installations, DJ’s, Grow Tours, and entertainment.
Rally at Civic Center Park
Many locals and out-of-towners are bummed that the Cheeseman Park rally will not be happening this year due to a permit not being granted. But have no fear, because the tried-and-true Civic Center Rally be will taking place as usual, and will still feature food, art, entertainment and vendors. This is an all-day event, taking place from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on April 20.
420 on the Block
This gathering takes place in the super hip CoClub night life district, and includes parties at Vinyl, Bar Standard, Church, Milk Bar, City Hall and Living Room. One pass will grant interested parties access to all clubs, and there will also be a cannabis market place in City Hall.
420 on the Rocks
For those who prefer a more laid-back and outdoorsy atmosphere, Red Rocks Amphitheater will be hosting Method Man & Redman, Flatbush Zombies, Curren$y, Futuristic, RDGLDGRN and even more special guests on 4/19 to kick of 4/20 just right. And since this celebration comes on 420 eve, there’s no need to skip out on other festivities.
Caspa at the Black Box
If you are looking for an underground experience that’s still a wild party, check out famous dubstep DJ Caspa making a special appearance at the Black Box in Capitol Hill. Caspa normally sells out huge venues, but because of his support for underground dubstep, he has agreed to do special $10 shows at the new dubstep venue on 4/19 and 4/20. Don’t miss this if you’d like a chance to hang out and keep it low-key.
